More Than A Career

Being a nurse is more than helping people get better when they fall ill or
having a secure job for the rest of your life. A nurse is there to make sure
that their patients are comfortable with their new surroundings and to teach
the client to care for themselves when they leave. That is why nurses have
become the most trusted profession. I would like the join that legacy of
greatness.
I choose to become a nurse so that I can be able to work closely with those
that need a little extra help. I enjoy learning about the different parts of
the body, along with their functions and reactions to different things. To
be a nurse you have to want to do more than help people, yu have to have a
passion for science and technology, have good critical thinking skills, and
be able to follow someone else’s orders even if you do not agree.
After I receive my BSN I plan to specialize in urology. However, I plan on
continuing on my education and recieving a MSN, and possible become a family
nurse practioner.
I am qualified to recieve this scholarship because I have worked
exceptionally hard to get into nursing school. When I started my collegiate
career I was surprised at how complicated it was. My first year I started of
at a community college, and things were not so easy. I started off with a
gpa of 2.77, and by the end of my second year I was having 4.0 semesters. So
I know from personal experience that hard work pays off. That is why I know
that if I get this scholarship you will not regret it.
