Responsibilities
1. RN II:
2. Implements and documents the Nursing Process for population specific patient care delivery to include the complex patient/family.
3. Participates in performance improvement/research activities. Participates in activities that promote improvement of patient care/patient satisfaction. Expands/shares knowledge of nursing practice.
4. Functions as an active team member and demonstrates leadership qualities.
5. Demonstrates and enhances professional growth and development, maintains and enhances clinical competency. Remains current in nursing practices. RN III:
6. Implements and documents the Nursing Process for population specific, complex patient/family care delivery. Serves as a clinical resource expert.
7. Develops and implements performance improvement activities in response to identified needs and goals of the department.
8. Functions as a clinical resource and functions as a leader.
9. Demonstrates professional growth and development by expanding their knowledge base, implementing staff and patient focussed programs/projects to meet identified needs/goals. RN IV:
10. Demonstrates advanced clinical practice expertise, implements/documents the nursing process for population specific, complex patient/family care delivery, dept/specialty network clinical resource expert.
11. Develops and implements performance improvement/quality improvement/research activities in response to identified needs/goals of the department, specialty and/or network.
12. Functions as a role model for all staff throughout the SETON Network.
13. Demonstrates professional growth and development.
Minimum Qualifications
Current registered nurse license to practice in the state of Texas is required.
for RN II: Six (6) months nursing experience is required.
for RN III: Two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
Annually acquires thirty (30) contact hours of education, twenty (20) of which is nursing related OR has an acceptable (for the Specialty) National Certification is required.
for RN IV: Two (2) years experience as a Registered Nurse is required. Annually acquires forty contact hours of education, thirty of which is nursing related OR has a National Certification acceptable for the Specialty is required.
Skills
for RN III: Validation of achievement of Level Three performance competencies and requirements is required.
for RN IV: Validation of achievement of Level Four performance competencies and requirements of the position is required.

Medium (Requires lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent carrying of 25 lbs objects)
